Сучасний стан системи установ виконання покарань в Україні

Abstract

У статті представлено характеристику складових елементів системи установ виконання покарань та визначено проблеми їх діяльності. Автори зазначають, що умови утримання, в яких знаходяться засуджені в установах виконання покарань, надають можливість іншим засудженим впливати на їхню поведінку, що значно ускладнює роботу, яку проводять представники адміністрації установ виконання покарань з виправлення та ресоціалізації засуджених.Констатується, що існуюча в Україні система органів та установ виконання покарань моральна застаріла, вона не може ефективно виконувати свої функції та досягати цілей, які поставлені перед нею. The authors of the article present characteristics of the constituent elements of the system of penal institutions and identifies the problems of their activities. The authors note that the conditions of detention, where convicts are in penitentiary institutions provide an opportunity for other convicts to influence their behavior, which significantly complicates the work carried out by representatives of the administration of penitentiary institutions to correct and re-socialize convicts. It is stated that the existing system of agencies and institutions for the execution of sentences in Ukraine is morally outdated; it cannot effectively perform its functions and achieve the set goals.
